Last week my sketching group went to this beautiful boutique called Serrahna in Oakland. It was filled with fabric and textures and color. I didn't get far from the door when I found this spot in the corner. Believe me, the actual store is breath-taking.

I spent yesterday afternoon (Jan. 5) at the Oakland Museum. Wonderful exhibits of animals like this elephant seal.
